So Summery and Fun...I am Loving These Colors!

I made this card using one of my new Wild Sprout stamps from The Greeting Farm! I used these fun and summery colors... so i can honestly say that the layout, the colors and the ribbon are all HOT HOT HOT! I stamped the image and colored it with copic markers. I used some really fun patterned paper from SU and some SU card stock. I used my nesties for the circles and the scallop mats. I thought that this polka dot ribbon would really TIE (no pun intended) things together...with the dots and the colors and all. I used SHIMMERZ and gel pens and all kinds of good stuff to glitz up and detail this card and here she is! this is a quickie post because the weather is Hot here in Charlotte and my family and I are going to the pool... so have fun...make hot cards and GET INTO THE POOL!

Elemental Doodles Shimmery Fairy

I made this card using a stamp from Elemental Doodles called Mystic Fairy. I stamped this image and then I used my Dove blender pen and Chalks to color it in. AND...what does a fairy need even more than a magical land to flit around in??? That's Right... SHIMMERZ... all over the place! I thought that the wings, the flowers and the leaves would look great with SHIMMERZ. I tied an organdy ribbon around the bottom of this card and mounted the image near the top so that I would have room for the ribbon. Iadded the flowers in the corners and here is my card! I am Just a Technique Junkie These Days!!!

I knew that when I saw this challenge... I just HAD to play along! I love the cards that do stuff... swing,flip,flop,slide... whatever! I LOVE that they really make a person say "wow... You MADE that?" and I just love to WOW people.(LOL) This was a challenge on SCS this week... the Hinge Card! There was an awesome video tutorial here.

It was easy to understand and believe it or not... I made this card in like 20 minutes! that is a record for me. I used the background stamp from DRS for the bottom half of the card and then I cuttlebugged the top half. I stamped this gorgeous butterfly in black and then painted it with a matching color in SHIMMERZ. Then... when you slide the top open and rotate it on the hinge, that is where the message is. OK... I hope y'all said "WOW!" Anyway, The "One Day at a Time" sentiment is from DRS also and is my personal motto in life! There is plenty of room for a message on the back of the card as stated in the video and she even tells you how to hide the brad! So take a look and play along and WOW someone!!!

Big Buckle Blue and Brown Bard... (I mean CARD!)

I got a little carried away on my B's!!! Anyway... I want to show you this Big Buckle card that I made using all Paper Makeup stamps. I stamped the verse and sponged it while it was still in the nestie... I LOVE that look. Then I adhered it to the front. I then stamped the cross on the inside with versamark and used chalks over it to make it show up. For the strap, I stamped the vine and leaf images also from Paper Makeup. I punched the flowers and sponged and layered them. I used the antique copper looking brads and held them all together and arranged them in a pleasing manner on the card and here is my creation. I usually do much "busier" and BRIGHTER cards... so this was a change for me and I LOVE it! I really love the verse and the colors came out nice too! I have you all have a wonderful day and count your blessings.!

DRS is Popping Up All Over The Place!

I made this super fun card using stamps from DRS. This one is really pretty simple for me! I did NO coloring on this card! And I have not done that in a LONG time! I stamped the popcorn box image (H920) in yellow. Then I stamped the sentiment(H924) in black right on top of the sentiment! I really loved the way it turned out! I love when I think something will look cool in my head and then it DOES in real life!!! I followed the directions for this pop up card that can be found on SplitCoastStampers and used my trusty Scor-Pal to make this card go SOOOO fast! For the adhesive on the base I reccomend Scor tape or red line tape. It is super sticky and double sided... and that is gonna be what ya need! I added the yellow ribbon and here is my creation! The best parts are that this card folds flat for mailing, it is not bulky so it mails perfectly and fits an A-2 envie! Yeah!!! I hope that you enjoyed this card and thanks for POPPING over!!!(LOL)

The Tripple Shutter Card Featuring Paper Makeup

I made this card for the Technique Lovers Challenge on SCS. I Used Paper Makeup stamps and a WHOLE lotta other fun stuff! Nestie flourishes, paper flowers, SHIMMERZ and fun patterned papers. The best part of theis unassuming card is the surprise! It looks tough and complicated... but it was so easy... a few scores and a little bit of cutting... here is the result! I colored the image of the darling house with copic markers and added SHIMMERZ to the roof and the paper flowers. I cuttlebugged the light green paper and sponged it to show off the texture. The sentiment on the front was cut out with a nestie and then edges with blue ink and green glitter pen dots.

For the inside, I added the flowers and the house image to the middle panel, so it is hidden when the card is closed and visible when the card is opened! I hope that you enjoyed this card and that you will try this technique... it was really fun and I love LOVE to make cards that make people say WOW... and I think this one

Tall, Cool One... DRS Style!

I made this card a little bit ago and I wanted to share it with y'all... now that the weather is getting nicer!(LOL)
I stamped the beer mug image and I cut it out with my nesties. While it was still in the nestie, I added some sponging for a really cool effect. Then I colored the image with copic markers and added crystal effects to the mug. Before I did that, i painted the beer with SHIMMERZ so it would look all sparkly! Then I added the liquid applique for the foam. The dimension that stuff gives is FABBY! And watching it fluff as you heat it... DIVINE!!! I cut another piece of paper with my nesties and cuttlebugged it with the bubbles for the beer bubbles. I added some ribbon and ... THEN... on the inside... the most fun sentiment. It says "Beer is proof that God loves us and wants us to be happy!" and guess who said that??? Ben Franklin... That cracked me up! After I added some fun ribbon and mounted it on black paper... I called it a card and here it is! I hope that you enjoyed this one... on me!

PMS Monday Color Challenge... Just a Little Late!

Well... better later than not at all, right? I was busy Sunday and missed the post... but here I am today! The challenge was to use watermelon pink and apple green and a little bit of black or white. I chose black because I thought the combo would be awesome! I used Ashlie for this card and she just steals my heart. How sweet is she? I LOVE those little feet and toes! I colored her with copic markers and used SHIMMERZ for her wings and hair. I layered all of the papers and came up with this layout on my own (or at least I think I did...probably saw it somewhere and just remembered!) I punched the swirls and added the flowers and here is my creation! I hope that you will play along with the challenge and please link up your card using Mr. Linky so we can all see! DRS DESIGNS Flap Card Challenge

So I made this card for the challenge over at DRS. The Challenge was to make a card with a flap. I LOVE a good challenge... so I was READY! I made a card like this with my monthly stamp club and I thought it was too good not to share it! I used a die cut and cut it leaving the fold so the card would have a flap. I stamped the piggies in the mud on the background in versamark and then I colored the first part of the hogwash sentiment with a marker and stamped it and mounted it on the blue paper and put it on the front. Then for the inside, i cut another shape, but only half of it and glued around the edges to make a pocket. Then I added the gift card...(so noted by the way I wrote GIFT CARD on the paper I used for it) and inserted it into the "pocket" inside the flap. Then I colored the other part of the hogwash sentiment and added it to the inside above the pocket. For the ribbon, I sis the "Faux Bow" technique at the top, near the fold and here is my card! Fairy Fire Flyer... Say THAT 3 Times Fast!!!

I made this card with a stamp from The Greeting Farm. I stamped her, colored her with copics, cut her out and used my nesties to give her some place to land. I added SHIMMERZ all over her because fairy's sparkle and I LOVE THAT STUFF!!! I cut 2 top note dies and layered them. The red, yellow and orange one was my inspiration paper... I thought it looked like fire, so this card was born! I painted SHIMMERZ on some of the prima flowers and layered all of these delicious elements onto some really pretty patterned paper. The sentiment is a rub on and the dots are from my trusty gel pens! Thanks for stopping by and have a groovy weekend!

Hey... Wait a Minute... An Easter Card???

OK... I KNOW that Easter is over... but I LOVE this stamp. I REALLY love it! This is from DRS and I made this card and before I knew it, Easter was over... I never got a chance to show this card... and there it sat. Well, I could not let that happen, so here it is! I stamped the cross with flower image and then I colored it with Copics and SHIMMERZ. I used my nesties for the ovals and my SU scallop punch for the yellow border. I cuttlebugged the background and used gel and glitter pens for detail. I painted SHIMMERZ onto a piece of paper and punched these little butterflies out. I secured them at the middle and let the wings stay 3-D. I Love that punch and it really adds a lot of dimension to the card! thanks for checking out my post for today and let me tell ya how good it is to be back home in Charlotte!

This DRS Saying CRACKS ME UP!

I love this card. I love the stamp from DRS & Dustin Pike and this sentiment for DRS is too MUCH! This just makes me giggle! It is a pretty quick and easy card. I used my new nesties for the shape for the monkeys to stand in and I cuttlebugged the background. I golored the monkeys with gamsol and colored pencils and added some shimmerz to the ears and tummies for a little dimension. I stamped the phrase, cut it out and raised it up with pop dots... pretty quick... but so funny! What a great card to

send a friend to lift their spirit! Have a good one y'all and heed the phrase... I believe I will!

PMS Monday Challenge...BLING!!!

OOOOHHHH... I love me some BLING! This card was made with the new releases from Paper Makeup, which I am sure that you have ALL ordered my now, and the Monday Challenge was BLING! Anything that glimmers, sparkles, SHIMMERZ and Shines! Right up my alley! I used my new nesties and cut out the shaped that this darling Paper Makeup fairy is on... I colored her with copic markers and SHIMMERZ and glitter pens for the fine detail. I bought a HUGE flourish made out of Rhinestones at M's and i cut it up for this card! Better size wise and money wise too! I used my MS doily punch and a SU rub on and here is my card! Play along with the Paper Makeup challenge and don't forget to link your card so we can all see it! I LOVE these stamps! I love that Dustin Pike is a designer for DRS and that he was a HUGE part of the new releases that DRS came out with on May 2nd. A Giggling Butterfly, a Little Bit of Lace and a Whole Lot of Smiles!

I made this card for ... ME!!! I love coloring and

my BSF (Best Stamping Friend) Nancy, got this stamp and I had so much fun putting this card together! I love the colors, the "you make me laugh" sentiment and the lace! I LOVE IT ALL!!!

I had buttons that matched and string that did not, so I used a super skinny piece of paper for "thread!" Of course, there is SHIMMERZ all over this card and ribbon galore... and I LOVE IT!!! This little stamp is from THE GREETING FARM and the paper is from SU! Gel pens, glitter pens, nesties, sponging... I used ALL the tricks I got! I hope that you love it! I will be in New York for my Momma's 80th birthday... but i have scheduled posts and I would love for you all to keep checking in! DRS NEW Releases... Silhouettes and Memories!

I LOVED these stamps from the minute I saw them and I did not even have any ink on them! HOW CRAZY!!! I LOVE the vintage look of the silhouettes and I can remember having them lining our family room...all 6 kids... and then seeing them at my hubbie's momma's house when we were dating and thinking... "I am gonna fit into this family JUST FINE!!!"
I stamped the image onto the white rectangle and them i cut out the black scallop rectangle with nesties. I adhered that onto a white panel that was adhered on black. I really like how crisp the black and white look together! Then I stamped the sentiment that went perfectly and I tied a faux bow with some classic satin and organdy ribbon. These cards were really easy to do and went together quickly... and as we know.. I can TOTALLY over complicate a card... but these just needed to be simple and clean. I hope that you love them as much as I did and that you will take a look

Aren't Monday's Challeging Enough???

I am back and I am combining 2 Challenges in this post today.
The challenge on DRS was to make a project using your
favorite technique(s). I LOVE to make cards with FUN FOLDS and this stair step card was really fun! I stamped
and cut out a bunch of these little Piggies and colored them
(another FAVE)with Copic markers and SHIMMERZ and cut them out. I pasted them all over
the stair steps to make it look like a million dancing piggies

are wishing you a happy birthday! I LOVE the way this turned out and I know just who will get this card with a chorus of happy dancing pigs saying that NO WAY are you that old! now that is what I love to hear!!!! The next challenge was featured at Paper Makeup stamps!
We were challenged to make a bookmark. I NEVER knew there were so many types of bookmarks available! I made this one by using my nesties to cut the ovals and layer them. then I stamped ARGUS and colored him to match my paper. I cut under his had with a craft knife to make him hold the READ sign. I put a bunch of glue around the ovals and added the feathers...HOW FUN! Then with sticky dots, I adhered the front to the back over a giatn paperclip and here is my bookmark! I hope you love it! I gotta tell ya, I totally get a kick out of this little guy! Please check out the PMS blog to see what the other gals have created! We Are Going to Aunt Josephine's... BE GOOD!!!

This card reminds me of ... ME!!! when I was a little girl, my mom used to take me and my sister to my Aunt Josephine's. We would get the talk on the way over to "Be extra good and don't touch anything and sit like little ladies!" So I made this card because I love this big chair stamp and then I found Tilda and then all of the sudden, I was 6 again and at Aunt Joesphine's!

I used SHIMMERZ on my... uhhh... I mean Tilda's dress and on the chair, I cuttlebugged the floor to make it look like wood and I used my nesties in the background to make it look like a huge expensive painting (LOL)!The background paper reminded me of wall paper and here is my walk down memory lane! I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did!
